Tyson Chandler is sitting out against the Suns after tweaking his ankle last night against the Warriors. No word on how long the high flying center will be out.

On the Oct. 30th airing of PTI(Pardon the interruption), Mike Wilbon and Tony Kornheiser debated on whether Kevin Love would average over/under 12 points and 9 rebounds.

Tony and Mike both expressed their liking of Kevin Love, and Mike Wilbon commented that he can see Love averaging about 13.3 points and 10 rebounds a game. High praise for a player who could be overshadowed by OJ Mayo.

Tonight is the season debut of the Charlotte Bobcats; a young team loaded with talent, but run by a GM that makes some of Isaiah Thomas' moves seem genius. I'm talking about Michael Jordan, arguably the greatest player of our time, but basketball talent does not translate to basketball management.

Last year, the Bobcat's finished the NBA regular season with a 32-50 fight for the playoffs, which is a one game setback of their 2006-2007 record of 33-49. Now,with Hall-Of-Fame coach Larry  Brown teaching this young team, you can't help but either feel a sense of the Pistons and Sixers success, or him robbing the Knicks of their money(Basically what happened).

With Adam Morrison and Sean May seemingly healthy(Crosses fingers), the Bobcats will be at full strength, and Larry Brown will be able to utilize all his weapons. Look for Raymond Felton to be more of a passer than a scorer; Larry Brown loves to keep his point guards on a short leash. Also, Larry Brown should realize that Jason Richard has 6-3 Delton West guarding him, that should give Jason the easy advantage to molest him offensively.

Speaking of Jason Richardson, he has been the main guy in the Bobcat-Cavalier series. Check out his stats over their four games against each other:

Game 1: 18 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, 3 turnovers, 2 blocks
Game 2: 19 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 5 turnovers, 2 blocks
Game 3: 33 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 1 turnover
Game 4: 31 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, 1 turnover, 1 block

The second game of the Cleveland LeBrons happens tonight, and they have a pretty good chance of spoling the Cat's debut. If last season is any indicator of who is going to win, then the Cavaliers would be the team. Last season, the Cavaliers beat the Bobcats in three of their four meetings played, check it out.

Game 1: Bobcats win 96-93
Game 2: Cavs win 113-106 in 2OT
Game 3: Cavs win 98-91
Game 4: Cavs win 118-114

One thing I noticed about those four games? They are freaking close! It seems the Bobcats can keep up with the Cavaliers, and tonight should be a reasonably close game, and in the loss that the Cavaliers suffered, they didn't have LeBron James and still only lost by three.

By the way: Who's stopping LeBron? Maybe four or five security guards, but nobody on the Bobcat's roster will be able to stop a man as physically and skillfully nasty as LeBron is. Look for him to get a near triple double, or even get it tonight. Look at his game stats for the three games he played in:

Game 1: DNP - Left index finger sprain
Game 2: 31 points, 19 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 steals, 3 blocks, 8 turnovers
Game 3: 33 points, 7 rebounds, 10 assists, 1 steal, 1 turnover, 2 blocks
Game 4: 29 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals , 4 turnovers, 2 blocks ..Fouled out though

So look for LeBron to have a monster game, unless he fouls out tonight(Which likely won't happen), plus, it doesnt hurt that this is the Cavaliers home opener, which should feed the Cavaliers some energy.

Yesssss. The Lakers finally extended Bynum. Its not really what I wanted, as I wanted Bynum on the Lakers for a bit longer (4 years is nothing. Dude just turned 21), but it's easy on the Lakers' checkbook. This deal will give him about $14 Mil a year, and the 4th year worth about $16 Mil. Very lucrative for Bynum, and it gives him time to develop and earn that FAT paycheck I know he wants. IMO, in 4 years, this guy is gonna be one of the elite centers in the League. He said he'd let his game for itself, and he'd get what he deserves, and he got it. He's averaging 10 Points and 6 Rebounds so far in 2 games, which is why he didnt get the $80 Mil he wanted. Step it up Bynum, we know you can do it!

If you watch college basketball, you should know who the guy is above. He is Darrell Arthur. He's mainly known for being a part of the team that won the 2007-2008 National Championship, but he's looking to be known for something else. Last night he posted 11 Points and 15 Rebounds. 15 REBOUNDS! He was really under the radar, and I was surprised to see his name down in the gutters of the NBA Fantasy Free Agent pool with the likes of Vladimir Radmanovich, Stephon Marbury, Jamal Tinsley, etc. Yeah it was just one game, but Arthur is looking to be a contributor for the Grizz. On a team with only Marc Gasol, Hakim Warrick, Hammed Haddadi (from Iran. Read a SLAM article on him) and Darko "bust" Milicic as their 'big men', Arthur will be given a lot of playing time with is size and rebounding ability (played almost 30 minutes last night). IMO I got a steal. I dropped him for Ronny Triaf (oh God). I need his instant stats because Im currently being pounded in my Fantasy League (Carmelo is suspended and Greg Oden is an injury waiting to happen), so I need guys like Arthur to step it up and give me some fuggin stats ASAP. It'll be tough though as the Grizz are playing the Magic tomorrow. Dont know if he can bang down low with D12, but with "Slim Shady", anything can happen.

If you have no idea who that is in the picture above; you are either NOT a knicks fan, or you are not a hardcore NBA fan. This my friends, is Wilson Chandler. Last year in his rookie season, he gave Knicks fans hope that someone else besides David Lee was going to be a good player, but this isn't about the Knick's horrible roster, this is about fantasy players.

Coming off the bench in the Knick's season debut against Miami, Wilson Chandler scored 17 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in a win. The reason he is a hot fantasy pickup is because this man is going to excel in Mike D'Antoni's run n' gun offense like so many others did before him(Stats inflate when you play in such a fast paced tempo). If he can put up stats that are 1 rebound shy of a double-double off of the bench, what could he possibly do once D'Antoni realizes he needs to put this man in the starting lineup if they want to command any sort of respect in the East.

All i'm begging Mr. Pringles to do if give Wilson Chandler some starter minutes(At least 30 minutes per game) and I will be a happy man.

The new look Timberwolves have picked up options on defensive minded Corey Brewer, and shoot-first point guard Randy Foye. Corey Brewer will be receiving $2.9 Million in the 2009-2010 season, and Randy Foye will be cashing in $3.5mil.

No introductions, let's cut to the chase. These rookies had some pretty amazing(Some surprising) debuts, but most of them weren't the ones you'd expect.(Counted down from least to greatest performances)

5. Kevin Love(Minnesota Timberwolves) 12 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 2 blocks, 5-8 FG, 2-2 Free Throw

4. Marc Gasol(Memphis Grizzlies) 12 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 blocks, 5-12 shooting, 2-3 Free Throw

3. Darrell Arthur(Memphis Grizzlies) 11 points, 15 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 2 blocks, 5-9 shooting, 1-2 Free Throw

2. Mario Chalmers(Miami Heat) 17 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists, 7-13 shooting, 2-3 three-pointers, 1-2 Free Throw

1. Jason Thompson(Sacramento Kings) 18 points, 10 rebounds, 1 block, 7-11 shooting, 4-4 Free Throw

The "Stars" of the draft(Excluding Rose who had a solid 11 points and 9 assists in the NBA opening day):

Michael Beasley(Miami Heat) 9 points, 4 rebounds, 4-14 shooting, 1-5 three-point

OJ Mayo(Memphis Grizzlies) 10 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 5-20 shooting, 0-7 three-point

Not saying this is how their careers will pan out, but there are a lot of gems that are looking good in the 2008 draft.(With the exception of Marc Gasol who wasn't part of the 2008 draft)

Okay, it's the 29th. Every team has played except for the Bobcats and the Mavericks, so we've seen almost every team in action. Here's what I think about it all so far:

Awwww, how cute. Paul Pierce and KG shed some tears during their ring and banner ceremony. Thats the bitch in both of them! LOL j/k. Real men show emotion, and theres nothing wrong with being as happy as them. These guys worked so hard their whole careers, taking so much shit. Finally winning a championship means the world to them. P-Squared was all business when it came to the game against the LeBrons. The Truth dropped 27 leading the Celts to a win in one of the boringest games I ever watched.

Looks like Greg Oden is gonna be whippin' out his fresh jeans and collared shirts. Oden landed on Derek Fishers ankle, and will be out 2-4 week (read Rob's post below). The Lakers' defense looked much improved from last year (they emphasized this in the off-season) and beat the Blazers by 20.

The next victims of the Lakers and their "Bench Mob" were the Clippers. They wore their purple jerseys but played on their home floor against the Clippers. B-Diddy's homecoming was spoiled by the Lakers 38 point win. NBA champs anyone?

Derrick Rose looked solid droppin 11 points and 9 dimes leading his Bulls to a win over the Bucks. (read my boy Rob's post for more about Rose)

Jermaine Oneal's debut was a bit more impressive than Elton Brand's. J.O. dropped 17 while Elton had 14. The real story was CB4. The Toronto Raptor himself (dudes neck is long as fuck) had 27. Chris Bosh dominated this one, and let everyone know this is still his team.

All ball bitch. Timmy probably got this foul called since he screams like he's getting raped everytime he gets stripped. The Big Cactus (or the Sensei) looked solid tonight with 15 and 13. Amare Stoudamire looked even better (no homo). Tim Duncan was hitting shots from all over the floor, and Tony Longoria did his thing for the Spurrrrs. Phoenix won 103-98 in San Antonio. San Antone isnt used to losing on opening day, but shit happens suckaa.

Mike D'Antoni, the Savior? He's so perfect for the Knickerbockers. The Knicks are a bunch of young guys who like to run and shoot, aka Eddy Curry's worst nightmare. Dude isnt part of D'Antoni's rotation, and neither is Marbury. This reminds me of that YouTube video Marbury made a couple years back where he preached how him, Eddie Curry and Zach Randolph would be the Knicks. Today, Zach Randolph was the only one who played. He had 20 in a win against the Heat (good shit Knicks). Marbury and Curry got fat DNP's. YOUCH!

Whats a "chucker"? In a basketball dictionary, its a guy who does nothing but shoot 3s, and doesnt make any of them. 7 3-point field goal attempts O.J. SEVEN!!! How many did he hit? Refer to Gilbert Arenas' jersey number (or how many points he scored tonight). Obviously this isnt good, as he ended up goin 5/20 from the field. 20 shots is waaay too much, unless he's making them. He took a lot of shots from the Grizz best player Rudy Gay (dudes on my fantasy team). The Rockets big 3 didnt look THAT impressive as they barely edged the Grizz by 11 (the game was closer the whole game). Yao, Artest, and T-Back, I mean Mac had 21, 16, and 16 respectively.

Yeah the Jazz beat the Nuggets, but Carmelo (another fantasy player of mine. FUCK) was suspended and D-Will was out so I imagine that game was boring.

The Hawks beat the Magic by 14 (are they for real?)

V.C. led the Nets by 21 to beat the Gilbert-less Wizzzzzzards by 10

Pacers were led by Danny Granger who had 33 (all-star?), but lost to the Pistons by 6. Tayshaun led with 19.

Wolves beat the Kings by 2 (wow, great game) on their new floor. Kevin Love was impressive and Al Jefferson had 21 and 10 (he'll average about that).

Bucks beat the Thunder (who cares)

And the Hornets were led by CP3 to defeat the Warriors by 5. He played huge towards the end. DWest (I think he was a one season wonder, guess I was wrong) led them with 24.

These games werent really relevant to me. I thought Id go in-depth on the games I thought were important and interesting. This season is looking like its going to be a lot of fun. There are clear teams to beat (the Lakers and Celtics) and many contenders. Anything can happen. The season is looking to be exciting with all the young players and stars in the League. I'm loving it. No, I loves it.

Tonight was the debut of many rookies in the NBA, but no two are linked together like Kevin Love and OJ Mayo. Kevin Love was traded on draft night for the draft rights to OJ Mayo, which looked to be a parallel of the Roy-Foye trade of 2006(This time the Wolves got Mike Miller, who is a good scorer, rebounder, and underrated passer). Tonight, Kevin Love looked solid; racking up two AND1 shots, blocking shots, and even threw down a two-handed dunk that teammate Rashad McCants bounced to him. Love finished the game with 12 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 turnovers and 2 blocked shots in only 18:31 of playing time off the bench; he then returned to the bench after picking up his fourth foul, and Coach Randy Wittman needed a vet to finish the nail biter at the Target center, which resulted in a win.

OJ Mayo on the other hand seemed to struggle with his shot, going 5-20 from the field(missing all seven of his three-point attempts) and finished with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 turnovers and two steals in a loss to the Houston Rockets.

PS - He played 40 minutes!

So as Wednesday night concludes in the NBA; Kevin Love: 1, OJ Mayo: 0
